It's never made particularly clear in Persona 3 whether Shinjiro actually needs to take the suppressant pills, or whether he takes them because he doesn't want to deal with his power any more. With any drug, however, you can develop a dependency, so from whatever perspective this fic is a pretty powerful look at Shinjiro and Castor.

I have a big soft spot for game fanfics that try to make sense of some of the less-than-sensical (yes I know that's not a word) aspects of the game itself. This one does a very, very good job of exploring how the main character (Minato) can be everything to everybody, and what that actually means for him as a person.
